1688/Alipay for global business

Coordinated designs for 1688 platform to enable user interactions and guide clients to opening Alipay for global business accounts through platform to allow users purchase product with international currency.

Project Overview

Provide service for oversea buyers to purchase products in 1688（a global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce, providing tens of millions of merchants with massive business opportunity information and a convenient and safe online trading market, and also a community platform for merchants to interact ) and use international currencies through Alipay business, the business plan is to pull up brand image of Alipay, and solve user pain points that oversea buyer had no access to global business due to the restrictions of region.

Coordinated designs for 1688 platform to enable user interactions and guide clients to opening Alipay for global business accounts through platform to allow users purchase product with international currency.

1.For this project I created service interaction based on existing 1688 interactive pages including the wireframes, defined flows, designed the UI as well as Design is inline with Alibaba Design guidelines. 


2. I also collaborated with product departments to communicate 1688 functionalities and design requirements to interpret it in-depth.


3. Testing product usability and analyze user scenario and continually iterate on current design

Service Provided

  1. The business portal is unified in Alipay for global business , and the Alipay for global business will guide the three roles of inbound picking, inbound buyers and overseas buyers to complete the opening, signing and binding of Alipay accounts.

  2. The merchant Alipay portal fills in the kyc material, completes the process of entry and opens the fund account

  3. Oversea buyers can jump to Alipay for global business through the 1688 portal to complete the signing of the agreement, including agreements: payment agreement, and procurement agreement.

  4. The oversea buyers request to sign in agreements with Alipay for global business and require 1688 to verify the agreement and complete the contract.

  5. Alipay for global business successfully completed the contract in 1688.
